Admission Notice

Important information regarding admission requirements and policies for the Master of Theology program.

  • Master of Theology (M.Th.) Program

Bachelor-level theological graduates may apply directly to the Master of Theology (M.Th.) program without first completing the Master of Divinity (M.Div.). Please note that, effective from 2026, the Master of Divinity (M.Div.) program at ATS has been upgraded and restructured as the Master of Theology (M.Th.). The M.Th. is a four-year academic program consisting of 130 credit hours, designed for students who demonstrate strong academic ability and a serious commitment to advanced theological studies. ATS graduates who meet the academic requirements are eligible to apply for this program.

  • Biblical Languages Requirement

The M.Th. program includes intensive and compulsory study of Biblical Languages: Greek (6 compulsory courses) and Hebrew (5 compulsory courses). All Biblical Language courses are mandatory. Students who are unable to continue or complete Greek or Hebrew will be withdrawn from the program in the respective semester. Applicants who consider themselves weak in Biblical Languages are strongly advised not to apply to the M.Th. program.

  • Academic Policy

Applicants are expected to make a careful and informed decision before applying, as the program carries defined academic standards. Students enrolled in the Master of Theology (M.Th.) program must successfully complete all program requirements with a minimum final cumulative grade of B-. Failure to meet this standard may result in academic probation or dismissal, in accordance with institutional regulation.
